Founded in 1996 by Andrea Mei — long-standing keyboardist for The Gang and a renowned songwriter and producer for the indie and pop-rock scene — Potemkin Studio has historically been a hub for creative exchange. Throughout his career, Andrea has collaborated with numerous Italian and international artists, including Nomadi, for whom he composed some of their greatest hits, such as Sangue al cuore, Io voglio vivere, and Oriente.

Since 2012, Andrea has closely followed the solo career of Danilo Sacco, former lead singer of Nomadi, supporting him both in the studio and on stage. In recent years, he has dedicated himself to producing new and emerging talents , including Ferretti, Piccolo G, Laragosta, Capabrò, LaSonda, Apnea, Black Banjo, Daniele Vagnozzi, and many others.
